On Friday, May 12, 2023, Albert Earl Brown, Sr., “Al,” of Richmond, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord. He fought a good fight, kept the faith, and finished the course. \n\nAlbert was born September 9, 1941, to the late Emma Susie Brown in Campbell County, Virginia. He graduated from Campbell County school system in Rustburg, Virginia, in 1959.\nAlbert was a born again Christian, with his home church being \nBethany Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Lynch Station, \nVirginia. He was a former employee of English Construction Company, Larus and Brother Tabacco Company, and General Motors Parts Division. He also worked a real estate broker and a general contractor. Albert was a man with many talents, a “Jack of all Trades.” He loved music, fellowship, and reminiscing with family and friends. He had a compassion for helping others and enjoyed watching sports. He put his heart into every task he did. He was preceded in death by his cousins/brothers, Lewis Brown and Edward Brown; father and mother-in-law, Wiley and Commeaner Crider; two brothers-in-law, Marvin Crider and Tony Crider; and one sister-in-law, Sarah Norman.\n\nThose left to cherish his memories are: his loving and devoted \nwife, Willie Mae Brown of 61 ½ years; two sons, Albert Brown, \nJr., and Neal Brown (Tonya); grandson, Neal Joyner (Monica); ten grandchildren, Albert Brown III (Tiffany), Tomeika Jefferson, \nTasha Robinson, April Hood (Darrick), Alexander Brown \n(Shantae), Adam Brown, Neala Brown, Ebony Bonaparte, Keyonte Joyner, and Antwon Robinson; thirty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one cousin/sister, Emma Thomas; six brothers-in-law, Burford Crider (Judy), George Crider (Gusta), Larry Crider (Rosa), Travis Crider, Wiley Crider, Jr. (Wanda), and James Norman; four sisters-in-law, Sheliah Poindexter, Josephine Moon (Willie), Elizabeth Smith, and Mildred Crider; devoted cousin, Betty Seals; an embraced daughter, Wendy Watts; and a great number of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
