Alfreda Wallace Brown

Alfreda Denise Wallace-Brown passed from her earthly home on Friday, May 13, 2016. She will be cherished by all those who love her.

"Freda" was born on June 26, 1957. She was loved by her parents, Arlene V and Charles Wallace, Sr. She was educated in Charles City Public Schools. She graduated from cosmetology school as a licensed beautician. She furthered her education receiving a business associates degree from John Tyler Community College. She enjoyed spending time with her son and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wallace, Sr.; sister, Charlene Collins; daughters, Patricia and Tiffany. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Maurice Brown; devoted son, Larry Wallace, Sr.; mother, Arlene V. Wallace; sister, Patricia Cotman(Larry); two brothers, Charles(Valerie) and Michael Wallace, Sr.; grandchildren, Darius, Tiara, Tilara, Taylor, Jasiah and Larry, Jr. "Stink Bug"; devoted neice, Nakita Temple; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other in-laws, relatives and friends. The measure of a great woman is her love for sharing. She was quick to encourage and support others. These are the facts of her existence and shall remain a monument for her life and ideals.

Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street where the visitation will be held Friday, May 20, 2016, 5pm to 6pm. Funeral service will be held, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Elam Baptist Church, 13060 The Glebe Lane, Charles City, VA at 1p.m. Interment, Ruthville Cemetery.
