Annie Alease Johnson was born on May 22, 1945 to the late Theodore Johnson and Mary Johnson. She departed this life at age 77 on February 2, 2023 at Tyler's Retreat at Iron Bridge in Chesterfield, Virginia.\n\n\n\n\n\nAnnie grew up in Chesterfield County (Winterpock), Virginia as one of three children. She attended Chesterfield County Schools. After school she worked at Thalhimers Department Store and later in life at Chesterfield County Public Schools.\n\n\n\nAnnie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as the Pastoral Aide and was a member of the AGE THRU ACTION ministry. She attended church regularly until her health prevented her from doing so.\n\n\n\nShe enjoyed dancing, eating, reading poems, singing hymns and attending church. She had an outgoing personality and caring spirit and would help anyone whenever she could. She was also known for making others laugh with her witty jokes.\n\n\n\nAnnie was preceded in death by her brother, Berthea Johnson. She leaves to cherish precious memories, her brother Theodore Johnson Jr.; and a host of cousins, other relatives, friends (Diane Giles) and devoted caretaker Deirdre Jones.\n\n\n\n\n\nFuneral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11 AM at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 11520 Coalboro Rd. Chesterfield, VA. Interment Church Cemetery.
