Basheed I. Boatwright Obituary (1981 - 2017)

Basheed Boatwright, 36, was born to Linda Boatwright and the late Bobby Dickerson on February 14, 1981. Basheed attended Richmond Public Schools. Later on he received his General Education Diploma and several certified achievements. He had several jobs as a cook which was something he loved to do, whether it was at home or work on his last job, District 5 restaurant. Basheed was the type of person that would always smile, was very generous as well as kind hearted. In his younger years he enjoyed playing football and basketball where he played for the Boys and Girls Club. His favorite NFL team who we all knew he loved was the Philadelphia Eagles. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Linda Boatwright; brother, Jerome Dickerson (deceased); sister, Santrice Boatwright (Keith); brother, Rasheed Boatwright; sister, Aketa Woody; devoted nieces, Shaina Carrington and Sade ' Winston, grandparents; Virginia Dickerson (deceased), Lottie Goode; uncle, Wayne Boatwright aunts; Lisa Miller, Gwendolyn Boatwright-James (Timothy), Gladys, Gloria, uncles; Robert, Ryland, Dickerson, uncles Lenny and Raymond Dickerson (deceased) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 23, 2017 Mimms Chapel at 12Noon. Interment Riverview Cemetery.
