Charlean V. Brown Obituary (1954

Charlean Vanessa Brown was born in Richmond Virginia on January 1, 1954 to the late Kenneth Mayo Brown Sr. and the late Evelyn Whitehead Brown. She departed this life peacefully on June 19, 2017. She attended the Richmond Public School system and was a 1972 graduate of George Wythe High School. Charlean worked for Disability Determination Services in Fairfax, Virginia for over forty years and remained there until she transitioned. She accepted Christ as her savior at a young age at Chicago Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed life, traveling, shopping and was very dedicated to her family, friends and coworkers. Charlean was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Mayo Brown, Sr; her mother Evelyn W. Brown; her brother Kenneth Mayo Brown, Jr. Charlean is survived by her brother Robert M. Brown (Karen); her sister Sandra R. Swann (Derek); her aunt Gladys Whitehead; sister in law Colette Brown; her nephews Robert Jones, Keon Holliday and Damon Powell; her nieces Tiana M. Brown, Kenya D. Brown and Keondra Holliday; three great nephews and nieces; her god child Breana B. Lamkin and many cousins and acquaintances. Memorial Services will be held at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. July 1, 2017 at 1 P.M.
