Charles E. Holliday Obituary (1957

Charles E. Holliday, age 60, of Richmond, VA, transitioned this life December 13, 2017 unexpectedly after a brief illness. He was born June 15, 1957 in Aberdeen, MS. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Lovell Holliday and Arthur Wilson; brother, Robert Holliday; sisters, Edna Holliday and Ida Holliday. He leaves to cherish his memory two beloved daughters; Shalamar Webster and Shameca Rashed (William); Six beautiful grandchildren; four loving sisters; Emma Westfield Shirley Thomas (Clarence-deceased), Theresa Holliday and Mary Hall; one devoted brother, Leroy Holliday; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Charles was a native of Knoxville, TN. He later relocated to Richmond, VA where he spent most of his adulthood working as a foreman with a local company. He was a skillful carpenter and took pleasure in his work. Charles enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Charles was known for strength and ability to keep going forward. His daughters were very special to him and he took great joy in being a grandfather, brother and uncle. Charles was a generous man with warm and friendly demeanor. His memories will resound forever in the hearts of so many.
