Christine Leverett

Christine Leverett of Richmond, Virginia passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 6, 2024.
Christine was born on August 22, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York to Jack and Evelyn Leverett. She grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from High School and started her family. She spent the next 18 years raising her 3 children with her loving heart. Not only did her compassion for her children motivate her, but she also acted as a foster parent for many needy children in New York City. Even after raising her 4 children and assisting many others, she took her passion to Richmond, Virginia in 1998 and put it to work as an Adult Corrections Officer and later becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. She spent her later life with her loving family and friends. You could oftentimes find Christine in the kitchen cooking a feast for her loved ones and having a good laugh. Nothing, and I mean nothing topped her chocolate chip poundcake!
Christine was preceded in death by her father Jack, mother Evelyn, brothers David, Larry, and Tommy, grandsons Xavier and Carter. She is survived by her children, Tanya Kenney, Theodore Allen, Danielle Leverett, and Rochelle Leverett, sisters Marilyn and Doris, brother Michael and 12 grandchildren.
The family would like to express its most heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all of those who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. There will be a repass directly following the service on Saturday May 18, 2024.
