Claude Williams, affectionately known as “Butch”, passed away suddenly on \nSeptember 17, 2023. Claude was born on December 29, 1955, at Saint Phillip’s \nHospital in Richmond, Virginia to Claude and Doris Ann Williams. \nHe was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister-in-law, Belinda Holloway \nWilliams.\n\nClaude was a member of Zion Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ at an early \nage. Claude attended Richmond public schools. He was employed at the family \nfish market, Billy’s Seafood, as a cook. Claude was an outstanding football player \nthroughout his school days.\n\nClaude had an infectious smile, a heart of gold, and an ability to make others feel \nloved. His hugs were warm, comforting, and soothing. He was caring and loving. \nButch leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Antonio Brown of Richmond, \nVirginia; two granddaughters, Tiarra and Shamya Brown of Richmond, Virginia; \nHampton Williams (Peaches) and Curtis Williams of Richmond, Virginia; three \nnieces, Rochelle Williams, Brittany Williams, both of Richmond, Virginia, and \nSonya Salaam (Malik) of Waldorf, Maryland; two great-nieces, Shayla Robertson \nand Kaylah Williams, both of Richmond, Virginia; two great-nephews, Jourdan \nSalaam of Waldorf, Maryland and Reginald WIlliams of Richmond, Virginia; and \na host of other relatives, cousins, and friends.
