Darnell L. Henson, Sr. Obituary (1959 - 2022)

Darnell L. Henson, Sr., departed this life August 7, 2022. Darnell was the son of the late Lottie Henson McCowan and Joseph Henson. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; stepfather, Linwood McCowan; sister, Shirley Johnson; brother, William Henson; two brothers-in-law, Bennett Johnson and Waverly Jordan. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 21 years, Leslie; one son, Darnell, Jr. (Renell); three grandchildren, Tayla, Kadiel and baby Uriel; mother-in -law, Elizabeth Gregory of Norfolk, VA; three sisters, Jesteane Ragland (Owen) of Chesterfield, VA; Barbara Jordan of Charlottesville, VA; Joyce Christmas (Arthur) of Louisa, VA; brother, Minister Lawrence Henson (Priscilla) of Kents Store, VA; one step sister, Dorrine Howard (Robert) of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters-in-law, Charlette Gregory of Norfolk, VA and Cindy Henson of Louisa, VA; a devoted cousin, Cora Scott of Louisa, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 12 Noon at New Life Outreach International Church, 1005 Turner Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23225. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
