David Bernard Quinn was born July 26, 1981, in Richmond, Virginia, to Carolyn Quinn and the late David Churchwell. On Friday, September 9, 2022, the Lord stretched out his hands and called his servant David Quinn peacefully home as his loved ones surrounded him. Respectfully he is preceded into death by his father, David Churchwell, maternal grandfather Milton Harding, maternal grandmother Delores Harding, paternal grandfather David Straw, paternal grandmother Juanita Allen, and maternal Aunt Beverly Harding.\n\n\n\nDavid was 3 lbs. 7oz. at birth. He grew to be a giant as David was against Goliath, and he did it with a smile. At an early age, David accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of St. Paul's Baptist Church until his death. David loved music and would produce songs and beats. David loved making music so much that he started Hustle Up record label.\n\n\n\nDavid received his education in Richmond Public Schools. He attended Oak Grove Elementary, Boushall Middle, and Open High and graduated from John F Kennedy High School. Over time, David attained his Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice in May of 2022.\n\nDavid was an easy-loving individual. He gave love, and he received love. He had an infectious smile and a way about him that would brighten the darkest room. David was very opinionated and intelligent, ready to fight for his point. He was a man's man. He poured his love into his family and his new beginnings with his fiancee Shantilla Davis. He was so proud of the direction they were headed in life.\n\n\n\nDavid's hobbies included traveling with his family, playing tennis, playing basketball, listening to all genres of music, and watching movies and sports. He was a staunch Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bulls fan. David traveled to see the Raiders play for the last time in the Black Hole Stadium in Oakland, California, before the Raiders moved to Las Vegas. As soon as the new stadium opened in Las Vegas, David was one of the first group of fans to see his favorite football team play. David leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved fiancee, Shantilla Davis, son Anthony Quinn, bonus son Alex, a loving mother, Carolyn Quinn, a dedicated brother, Christopher Quinn (Temeka), a devoted sister Keysha Quinn, and Tonia Churchwell. Nephews Paul, Miguel, Dominique, and Caleb. Nieces, Kristina and Syah. Great niece Paris and great nephew Paul Jr. with a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles. Several devoted friends, Charles, Lando, and VJ among them. David will truly be missed by many.\n\n\n\nFuneral service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:30PM at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St.
