DAVIS, Denice "Niecy" C. Poellnitz, 32, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 25, 2016, at JohnstonWillis Hospital, after a lengthy two-year battle with cancer. She was born December 17, 1983, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Robert and Sheran Poellnitz. Niecy gave her life to Christ at an early age. At the conclusion of her life, she was an active member of Keeping It Real Worldwide Ministries of Richmond, Va. Niecy loved life; her aura exuded love, every person she met was guaranteed to walk away with a smile. Throughout her fight, Niecy's faith was anchored; her strength encouraged those that meant to encourage her. She loved The Lord and she trusted Him in a way that allowed her to live and fight while embracing every moment.
She is survived by her three sons, Kyrhee Davis, Makhell Davis and Jaelin Davis of Richmond, Va.; her loving fiance, Jason George of Caroline County, Va. She also leaves behind her loving mother who never left her side, Sheran Poellnitz of Richmond, Va.; seven sisters, Sherawn (Tony) Davis, Mertha Poellnitz-Gonzales, Alisha (Jarrard) Poellnitz, Robin (Stephen) Poellnitz, Alexis (Victor) Poellnitz, all of Richmond, Va., Donna Vincent of Houston, Texas, Stacy (Jelani) Wilson of Leesburg, Va.; one brother, Willie (Lashon) Johnson of Atlanta, Ga. Also left to cherish Niecy's memory are 15 nieces and nephews whom she adored, 14 aunts and uncles whom she loved dearly; along with four very special friends, Jamell "Chocolate" Hill, Lauren Jordan, Chez "Teddy" Robinson and Tiara "Ti Ti" Williams, who stayed by Niecy's side day and night while she was hospitalized along with a host of cousins and long-time friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert D. Poellnitz; her maternal grandparents, Mary Miller, Wade and Margaret Wallace and paternal grandparents, Luther and Cornelia Poellnitz.
Niecy touched numerous people during her short time here on earth; as we remember her and the life she lived, let us remember the greatest gift she left behind for us to carry on, LOVE.
