Detore D. Brown

Detore Brown was born on November 10, 1979, in Richmond, VA, to Etla and Raymond Brown. He was educated in the Richmond Public School system. Detore entered the world alongside his twin, Tamore Brown, arriving just one minute apart, beginning a lifelong bond.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Elta Brown; his sister, Diane Johnson; and his brother, Larry Brown.

Detore met Antonia Holmes, and from the union, in 2003, his cherished daughter, Arjayna Holmes, was born. Detore was known for his warm spirit and welcoming nature - never a stranger to anyone he met. He found joy in spending time with family and friends, and he had a deep love for music and sports, which brought him happiness throughout his life. He also had a passion for fashion and cooking.

Detore Brown peacefully departed this life on March 19, 2026, at his home in Richmond, Virginia.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Arjayna Holmes; his father, Raymond Brown; his brothers, Quinton Brown and Anthony Brown; his sisters, Tamore Brown and Tijashia Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
