Dorothy V. Hood

Dorothy V. Hood our beloved sister, departed this life on August 16, 2017. She was preceded in death by one brother, Mack; and one sister, Mary Jane. She is survived by two brothers, Leon and Howard Hood Jr.; three sisters, Bessie, Lois (Clarence) and Lucy; a host of devoted nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Margaret P. Hood and Margaret Tollor; beloved friends, Queen Stevens, Dale Johnson, Tonya Washington, Silver and Keith Mullins, Minister Rosa Johnson, Minister Keith Hickson and Edith, Elain Sledge and family; Robinette Goode, Gloria Perry and family, Betty Taylor, Grace White, Evelyn Washington, Deborah Pegram, Dallas Gayle and many more. She went home to be with God from the place she loved most, Morning Star Baptist Church. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where a service will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at 1 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017, at Second Saint Paul Baptist Church, 71 Leewood Rd., Lynch Station, Va. 24571. Interment church cemetery.
