Elvin Thornton Obituary (1946 - 2010)

THORNTON, Elvin D., of Powhatan County, departed this life on June 28, 2010. He is survived by three daughters, Terry Cain (Lamont), Tina Edmonds and LaTania Staton (Russell); one son, Elvin McCray; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother, Thurman Vaughan (Nancy); two aunts; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Streets. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 2, 12 noon at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 200 W. Old Hundred Rd. Midlothian, Va. Rev. Wayne Moody, pastor. Rev. Shirley Eggleston, officiating. Interment in the Smith Family Cemetery, Chesterfield County.
