Frederick Friend, ǀǀǀ

Frederick Jefferson Friend III, also known as "Ricky" or "Rick" of Chesterfield County Virginia, departed this life on Friday, March 24, 2023. He was born August 16, 1975, in Richmond, Virginia.
Rick was baptized at an early age at First Baptist Church Centralia, where he served on the Young Men's Usher Board, and sang in the Youth Choir.

After being educated in Chesterfield County Public Schools where he played various sports, to include football and basketball, he even learned how to master baseball. Rick went on to get a certification in Culinary Arts and performed his love for cooking at various restaurants.
He also loved to hunt, fish, cut grass, and eat seafood. It wasn't unusual to see him with a bushel of crabs on any given weekend in the summer.

Rick loved the beach and was a great swimmer. One of his favorite things to say was always, "My sister got me!".

Ricky is preceded in death by his grandparents; Frederick J. Friend Sr., Louise B. Friend, Cephas Coleman Sr. and Dorothy Coleman; devoted cousin and best friend, Alphonso Marshall Friend.
He leaves to celebrate his memory, his father Frederick J. Friend Jr.; his mother, Malinda C. Friend; one sister, Monika C. Friend; two daughters, Imani R. Friend and Maliyah C. Friend; a loving and devoted neighbor, Osina Whittle; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
