George Lewis Booker

Mr. George Lewis Booker, age 79 gained his wings and entered into eternal rest on December 10, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Booker was a member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, located in Cumberland County, VA.

George was a vehicle mechanic in Vietnam, while serving in the Army. He continued to use those skills after retiring from the Army. Being a mechanic was his passion. You could ask him any question and describe the noise your car was making and he can tell you exactly what was wrong.

George will be greatly missed, by all who knew him. He never met a stranger and grabbed the hearts of anyone he came in contact with.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is my strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1)
