Herbert Lee Griggs, Jr.

Herbert Lee Griggs, Jr., of Richmond passed away on November 2nd, 2015.

He was the second oldest of 7 children. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Minnie Pearl Matthews and Shirley Jean Griggs; a brother, Willie James Griggs. His loving wife, Inez, preceded him by just seven weeks.

He is survived by three sons, Jonathan W. (Paula), David A. (Heather), and Jared E. Griggs; two grandchildren, Alexis and Michael Griggs; two sisters, Dorothy Zoryeah and Sharon Griggs-Paramore; one brother, Robert Lee Griggs; two uncles, Tommy (Nancy)and Buck Wheeler; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his honorary daughter, Nyota Alston (Timothy).

Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home 1827 Hull St.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday November 14, 2015 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 5101 Snead Road.

Interment Dale Memorial Park.
