Mrs. Ida Mae Dickens Obituary (1924 - 2015)

Mrs. Ida Mae Dickens of Richmond, Va. departed this life on November 18, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Dickens Sr.; one son, Benjamin Dickens Jr.; her parents, Walter Dancy and Anliza Worsley Dancy and one grandson, Kevin. She is survived by her son, Elbert Ray Dickens (Hollyana); two daughters, Mary D. Lewis (Jerome) and Dallas D. Gayle; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a daughter-in-law, Robin Dickens; family and friends; among them a loving and devoted friend, Hilda Jefferson; and the entire congregation at Star Fellowship Baptist Church, where she was a member for more than 60 years. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015, at the Star Fellowship Baptist Church, 2223 Keswick Ave. Rev. Larry D. Barham, Sr., officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery.
