Mechanicsville, Virginia
Jacqueline Yvonne Jackson was a mother, a grandmother, a niece, a cousin, and a friend. Her battle with dementia during these past years demonstrated her strength. Despite the symptoms of dementia, she remained full of life and continued to laugh, as only Jackie could. Jackie peacefully entered into eternal life on October 16, 2026.
Jackie was born to Floyd E. Harris and Emma P. Harris on August 19, 1953, in Richmond, Virginia. She was a member of Brown Grove Baptist Church, then Union Branch Baptist church later in life.
Jackie attended Blackwell Elementary School and graduated from George Wythe High School in 1971. She, then, followed in her father’s footsteps and started working in the food industry and would later work in banking until she retired.
Jackie was a very social person. She enjoyed playing games, cooking and having dinners at her home. She especially enjoyed riding her own motorcycle. She was very artistic and enjoyed creating special projects for loved ones.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Floyd E. and Emma P. Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Quantrell O. Jackson (Sonya) and one daughter, Javon A Jackson; two grandsons, G’Quan O. Jackson and Rashaun Fountain; one granddaughter, Yara Trusty; one devoted aunt, Hilda P. Burnett; one uncle, Bishop John L. Harris (Rose); and a host of family, friends, and Jackie’s Caregivers at Visions Health Long Term Facility.
