Jacqueline Vanessa Payne was born August 22, 1965 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Myrtle and Rudolph White.\n\nShe received her formal education in the Richmond public School System and graduated from Maggie Walker High School. She furthered her education and attended Rutledge College.\n\nShe accepted Christ and was baptized at Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A. Lincoln James. She later joined the 2nd Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ralph Hodges. She was a faithful member who attended until COVID19 and her health declined.\n\nIn 1984, she was united in holy matrimony to Rodney W. Payne and they had one daughter. She later married the late William M. Chapman.\n\nShe was employed as a CNA with the Windsor Park Nursing Home. Her love, dedication, and passion for caring for others eventually led her to different nursing homes, Chippenham Hospital, PharMor and Walmart Pharmacy. She ended her career by working private duty for many affluent residents in the Richmond area.\n\nIn her leisure, she played bingo, loved to fish and go to the casino. Jackie also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially if it involved shopping and eating out. She was sassy, along with a great sense of humor and wit. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and her dog. A resilient person that over came life's burdens with her belief in her heavenly father, God. Her beautiful smile and lovely spirit will surely be missed, but she left behind a legacy of love to sustain us until we meet again.\n\n\n\nShe leaves to cherish precious memories to her beloved children, Michael D. White and Temeka N. Payne; grandchildren, Mychelle, Jacquez, Sheniel, Jamarie, Michael, Jamiyah, Makiyah, Micah and Makhi; four siblings, Owen, Adrine, Keith and Lisa; devoted friends, Cynthia Wilson, Ethel Williams, Sharon Hicks, Keyvette Williams, Barbara Overton, and Calvin Winston; a host of relatives and friends.\n\n\n\nFuneral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 1:30 at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. Richmond, VA 23224. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
