Jakeem Johnson

was born February 24, 1990. Jakeem was an adventurous person and loved everyone he came in contact with; throughout his life he walked his own path and made plenty of friends along the way. No matter the situation he found a way to get things done. Not a day went by without him helping someone because of his loving spirit. On February 7, 2017 we lost our party starter, we lost a piece of our motivation (Don't cry for me when I'm gone, continue to party like I'm still here. Smile because he's in a better place with no more worries). Jakeem leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Elka Johnson; father, Wayne Couvrez; grandmother Fyfeene Johnson; three sisters, Elisa, Thenna and Deja; five brothers, Wayne, Wayne Jr., Bryon, Trevor and Reginald Jr.; five children he loved with all his heart, a host of aunts, uncles, grandparents, nephews, niece and other relatives and friends, among them devoted Jarrell Cotman "Rell" and Marcus Shelman. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street, where family will receive friends Friday (today), from 6 to 7 p.m. A private funeral service will be held.
