Jamar Nico Baker "Mal," departed this life April 15, 2024. He is survived by his daughter, Amari Baker; devoted mother, Mrs. Towanda B. Stewart; sisters, NaTasha Baker, Kiarra Baker, Shyrieka Harrison, Julene Cox; devoted grandmother, Patricia H. Jones; aunts, Tamesha Haywood, Kimberly, Shelia and Patricia Drake; uncles, Kevin Baker, Lenso Haywood (Michelle), Billy, Michael and Derrick Drake and a host of great aunts, uncles, and cousins, among them, a devoted Tevin Williams and Marcus Baker and devoted friend, Jamesha Franklin. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where family will receive friends on Friday (today) from 5PM-7PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 1 PM at Rising Mt. Zion, 2705 Hartman St. Rev. Dr. Roscoe D. Cooper, III, pastor, officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery.
