Today we celebrate the life of Jamey Ramon Kidd who transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on October 6, 1983, and was the only son of Lucy Ramona Kidd and James Baylor "Bel" Winston Jr.\n\nJamey accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Good Shepard Baptist Church. His love for sports, led him to play baseball and football in the Varina Recreation League. He started his education at St. Patrick's Catholic School in Church Hill, attended Fairfield Middle School, and graduated from Varina High School in Henrico County. He was smart, crafty, and worked in construction most of his adult life.\n\nHe adored his children and was a girl-dad who loved to cuddle with his daughter. He once spent hours building an igloo out of fresh fallen snow and digging a hole for a firepit with his son. He had a soft spot for his mother. Some would say they were more like best friends. The adoration he had for his grandmother (Ganny) led to several special moments where they shared scripture together. He was full of fun. You could always count on him to bring laughter to a room during family gatherings. Jamey loved wildlife and animals such as dogs, bugs, birds, and snakes.\n\nJamey was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lemuel H. Kidd, Sr., his paternal grandparents, Alice and James B. Winston, Sr., and a special cousin who was like a brother, Davaughn Kidd. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother and father, one daughter, Isis Daniels (16): one son, Jamey Kidd, Jr. (11): four sisters, Karen Ruffin, Tonya Lynch, Shanunda Davis and Javarrah Davis:, three nieces and four nephews: two devoted aunts, Pamela Kidd and Wilma Kidd, two dedicated cousins: Frank Bebbs and Rashad Bebbs, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
