Jerard Edward Simms, Sr. Obituary (1955 - 2022)

Jerard Edward Simms Sr. departed this life on April 23, 2022. He was born to the late Wallace and Phyllis Simms on January 23, 1955, In Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father Wallace Simms Jr, and mother Phyllis Simms. He was also preceded in death by his sister Delcine, and his three brothers Derek,his twin brother Jerome and Wallace 3rd, and nephew Jerome Jr. He leaves behind his Son Jerard Simms Jr. (wife Nile Oliver Simms), one Granddaughter Naija Oliver, 2 nieces Letishia and LaToya. A host of Cousins and friends. Jerard graduated from George Wythe High School. Jerard retired from Kraft General Foods after 24 years. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. His favorite things to do was to watch his favorite team the Washington Redskins play. Jerard was a loving and devoted father to his only son Jerard Jr. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 Mimms Chapel at 3:30PM. Interment Private.
