Jessica Shalayne Stanley entered into eternal rest on July 5, 2022 at home with both of her parents at her side. Jessica was born in Charleston S.C. on March 22, 1988. She resided there until the age of three years old. After her mother Natasha Gibbs and Leroy Gibbs jr were married they\nmoved to Beaufort South Carolina where she attended St. Helena Elementary School in St. Helena Island South Carolina. She also attended Lady's Island Middle School Lady's Island South Carolina. Jessica attended Beaufort High School for a semester before moving to Europe with her family after father accepted a position for his job in Germany. After graduating from H H Arnold High School in Germany she attended the University\nof North Carolina Charlotte for 2 years. She returned to Germany and was employed with the Defense Commissary Agency while continuing her studies in Mass Communication. After returning to the states Jessica was employed with T-Mobile where she excelled as a community expert. She received several awards for her performance during her ongoing cancer treatments. Jessica was able to use her gift of singing and speak about her\njourney for breast cancer awareness month while being employed at T-Mobile. Jessica worshipped at the the base chapels in Germany and sang in both children's and adult choirs. She always had a love for music and singing. Jessica used her gift of singing everywhere she went. After accepting the Lord as her personal savior she began to take a higher level of responsibility in leading people in worship into God's presence. She found joy in\nthe calling on her life to sing and minister for the Lord. Jessica is survived by her loving son Elijah Stanley, her brothers Ashbe Stanley & sisterin-law Emily Stanley, and Avery Gibbs and sister-in-law Jaelin Gibbs, her step-sister Stephanie Liles and step-brother Ryan Smalls, her aunts and uncles Vorletta Sabena Smith & Melvin Smith II, Lois Chapman & Joel Chapman, her uncle Scott Gibbs, nephews Amari Gibbs, Xavior Stanley and Shakur Liles, hosts of dear cousins, her dear church families Motivation RVA Church and Cornerstone Assemblies of God Chester Va and a host of other family members and friends in Charleston South Carolina, Beaufort South Carolina, Wiesbaden and Grafenwoehr Germany.\n\n\n\nFuneral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Cornerstone Church Assembly of God, 10551 Chalkley Rd., North Chesterfield, VA. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
