Joseph J. James of Richmond, VA transitioned to heavenly rest on June 24, 2017. He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted family: wife, Gwen James; sons, Joseph Johnson, Keven and JaRon James; sisters, Elizabeth Graham, Olivia Pollard, Earlia Harris, Patricia Tucker (Steven), Vanessa Smith, Angela Taylor; brothers, Roger, Jr. and Steven James (Tamabatha); God-daughter, Jasmine Thomas; sisters-in-law, Valerie Grooms and Erica Thomas; brothers-in-law, Mark Jones, Michael and Shawn Thomas; aunts, China and Atlas James, Rosa Lee Robinson; uncle Leroy James; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and his BELOVED dogs: Meeko and Milo James.

Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. Funeral services will be held July 1, 2017 at 1 PM at Richmond Christian Center, 214 Cowardin Ave., Richmond, VA. Rev. Bobby Holmes, officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery.
