GIBSON, Kate Novella, departed this life January 28, 2021. Kate leaves to celebrate her life a loving and devoted son, Wendell A. (Sylvia) Johnson of Richmond; a loving and devoted daughter, Anjarnette S. Johnson of Richmond; four grandchildren, Samantha M. Johnson of Maryland, and Stephanie N. Johnson, Willnet Timms, and Patricia Johnson, all of Richmond; three greatgrandchildren, DiNysti Robinson, Aariyah Johnson, and Kyan Mayfield; eight sisters, Dolly Reed of South Carolina, Betty Jean Jones, Linda Brown, Regina Pollard, and Darnell Pollard, all of Richmond, MaryLee (Greg) Langhorne, and Altonia Pollard, both of South Carolina, and Gloria (Brooks) Studivant; three brothers, Walter Jones, Anthony Jones, and Donald Pollard, all of Richmond; three sisters-law, Emma Jones of Charlottesville, and Lois Jones, and Iris Pollard both of Richmond; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. at 2:00PM. Interment Maury Cemetery.
