Linda Bertha Smith daughter of the late Leon B. Hunter Sr. and Helen C. Hunter was called to rest on the 12th of October 2021 and now awaits the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, sister Margaret Ann Hunter, and brother Leon B. Hunter III.\n\nLinda gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined Second Baptist Church. Linda was educated in the Richmond Public Schools, where she graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School.\n\nLinda worked at Ukrops and later at Retreat Hospital where she retired. Linda and Greg married on August 31st, 1979, from that union Kayim was born.\n\nLinda's passion was taking care of children. She was a marvelous care-giver for numerous years. She also enjoyed playing cards, gardening, chatting with her girls on Facebook, listening to music, and playing games on her tablet. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking with her grand-daughter Heaven. We could always count on Linda to cook special dishes for the Holidays.\n\nLinda was adored by family, friends, and co-workers. Linda had a kind heart and generous nature and overall sweet personality. To mourn her loss and cherish her memories are her beloved Husband, Greg Smith, son Kayim and daughter Robyn. Aunt Mary Smith and Peola Gaines. Brothers-Jerry (Vanessa), Wayne, and sister D'Juana. Brother-in-law-Robert (Saundra), Sisters-in-law-Donna and Sylvia. Five grandchildren-Heaven, Tyree, Sania, Jaila, and Chauny'e. One great grandchild-Nolan. Her nieces-Porchia, Kim, Jill, and Shelley (Darrell). Her nephews-Kevin (Oni), Deckion, and Trey, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
