Lisa M. Dabney

Lisa Michelle Dabney, born on March 21, 1967, departed this life on December 25, 2025.

Known for her big heart and bright smile by everyone as “Ma” or “Ma Lisa,” she attended Richmond City public schools and worked hard to support her sons. She was very stylish and known for her sense of interior decorating. Walking into her home was like walking into a magazine cover. Lisa loved watching her game shows and spending time with her dogs, Mama and Huncho, all the while enjoying her favorite—an ice-cold Pepsi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Claudette Dabney, and brothers, Micheal Beale, William Dabney III, and Wayne Paige.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Sharrod (Sierra) and Davon Dabney; one grandson, Shamon Burgo; one great-granddaughter, Mason; two sisters, Patricia Dabney and Matilda (Mike) Hendry; one brother, Horace Woods; one aunt, Lillie Mae Dabney; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, including one devoted cousin, Christine (Darren) Robinson; and her life partner, Keith Braxton.

Homegoing services will be held at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
