Lonray D. Banks Jr.

Lonray Banks, Jr., was taken away from us on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the young age of 21. He was born on February 3, 2005, in Richmond, Virginia, to Naketa Womack and Lonray Banks, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Geneva Wood and Louise Womack; grandfathers, Tyree Bullock, Fred Wood, Jr., Womack, and Felton Johnson; uncle, Demarcus Womack; and godbrother, Dree.

Lonray attended Richmond public schools. He really enjoyed spending time with family. He loved helping other people.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Naketa Womack; father, Lonray Banks, Sr. (Candice); siblings, brother, Tarik Banks, and sisters, Takira Womack, TyKira Womack, and Peanut; grandparents, James and Carrie McFail, Yvonne Morris, Leon Womack, Gma, Iesia Daniel; great-grandma, Mary Tucker; godmother, Teesha Evans; aunt, Sherell Khelesha; god-auntie, Nikki P. Hollye; uncle, Marque, Damien, James, and Cezanne; cousins, Meek Meek William Kerney and Ralph Lane; great-uncle, Tyrone McFail, Travis McFail, and Tony Womack; six great-aunts of South Boston, VA; best friends, RoRo and Amire Sneed; special friend, Janiyah Battle; and a host of other relatives and friends, too many to name.
