Lovie Wooden Hammie Obituary (1918 - 2015)

Lovie Wooden Hammie Richmond, Va., departed this life on March 4, 2015, at the age of 96. She was the widow of the late James E. Hammie "Flux" and a retired chef with the Virginia Department of State Police. She is survived by one stepdaughter, Mrs. Barbara Hammie Gregg, five stepgrandchildren, seven great-grand children, six great-great-grandchildren; one goddaughter, Alfreda Johnson of Queens, N.Y.; one godson, Anthony Brown of Richmond, several devoted nieces and nephews and a host of other devoted relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. Viewing will be held from 11 to 12 noon Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Chicago Avenue Baptist Church, 2331 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, Va. 23224, and where funeral services will begin at 12 noon.
