Mattie Gertrude Davis Obituary (1944 - 2015)

Mattie Gertrude Davis of Richmond, departed this life on July 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Davis Jr. and Rosezellar Timmons Davis; two brothers, Fred Davis and Maxi Davis; two sisters, Beulah Carter and Ruby Taylor. She is survived by her three sons, Shawn Davis, Jason Davis and George Shelton; five daughters, Beulah Little (Reginald), Carla Davis, Ebony Davis, Thomasina Holley (Paul) and Katrina Davis (Wayne); one brother, Chester (C.T.) Davis; three sisters, Inez Prince, Bette Johnson-Davis and Modisteen Davis; 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends and her devoted church family. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where funeral services are scheduled for 12 noon Friday, July 31, 2015. Rev. Stanley Stith, officiant. Interment Maury Cemetery.
