O'Harold Staten, Sr., of O'Harolds & Arviet's Beauty and Barber Shop, Richmond, VA, of Richmond, departed this life May 27, 2016. He leaves to cheris his memory, his devoted wife, Nancy Staton; three children, Denise Murrow, Arviet Staton and O'Harold Staton, Jr.; one grandson, Xavier Murrow; mother in law, Mildred Rawlings; five sisters, Annie Gaines, Barbara Caleb, Fannie Wheless, Catherine Randolp, Ethel (China) Conner; four sisters in law, Vanessa Boone, Jean R. Fitzgerald (Julian), Barbara Wells (David), Earnestine Shelton; two brothers, James and Richard Rowe; one brother in law, WIlliam Rawlings (Stefanie); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, among them a close family friend, Craig Carr and three devoted golf partners Linwood Carter (Sgt), Thomas Miles and Michael Hall. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where the family will receive friends Thursday (today) from 6-7 PM and where funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, June 3, 2016. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
