Pakita Hite-Hurt Obituary (1958 - 2003)

Mrs. Pakita Hite-Hurt of Richmond departed this life suddenly September 18, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Hurt; daughter, Sekoya A. Waddy; stepdaughter, Selena Smith (Otis); step granddaughter, Mallory Smith; brother, Durwood Hite; sisters, Edith Jefferson, Ernesteen Lee, Shirley Moore, Charlotte Cypress, Patricia Hughes, Annie Mae Hughes, Emma Reese; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts. Funeral service will be held September 29, 11 a.m. at Fifth Baptist Church, Harvie and Cary Sts., Rev. Earl Brown, pastor, officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sekoya Waddy or to Fifth Baptist Church Building Fund.
