Saturday afternoon, March 28, 2020, at Amelia Nursing home, Perlay May Green was called to her heavenly home to rest. She was born October 17, 1950, to the late Floyd and Elizabeth Taylor. She attended Powhatan County High School, and she did housekeeping for a living. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at Second Antioch Baptist Church. She served as a pastor aide, an usher, and a dedicated choir member on fourth Sundays. She loved and cherished her son, Tyrone, and her granddaughters, Kierra and Savannah. She praised the Lord with all her heart and soul. She had genuine love and care for her family, church members, and friends. Her favorite song she loved to sing was "God is a Good God." She gave big hugs and had a beautiful smile. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving son, Tyrone Green; granddaughters, Kiearra and Savannah Taylor; sisters, Mary Coleman (deceased), Audrey Miller, Mocile Taylor, Irene Tyler (Glen Tyler, deceased); brothers, Jerome Taylor (Denise Taylor), Floyd Taylor, Jr. (Buck, deceased), Wilson Harris (deceased); uncle, Edward Taylor (Lillie Mae, deceased); aunt, Elizabeth Ross; dedicated caregiver, Jean Miller; loving goddaughter, Charlene Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, among them Gloria Williams, Elise, Geniva, and Natalie. Viewing Friday from 9 to 7PM. Graveside service Saturday, April 4, 2020 1:00PM at Second Antioch Baptist Church (Powhatan)
