Phillip Vincent Nelson, Sr. Obituary (1950 - 2015)

Phillip Nelson of Richmond, age 65, of Richmond, departed this life October 27, 2015. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Susie Ann Walker-Nelson; one brother, Langston Nelson Jr. (Junnie); and uncle, Vonenia Robinson. Phillip leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Omar Craddock, Phillip Nelson Jr. (Teresa) and Corey Nelson (Siedah); grandchildren, Oneisha, Omar Jr., Omeisha, Alvin, Phillip, Shamar, Ayanna, Brianna and Corey Jr.; five brothers, Moses Tinsley III (Carolyn), Dale Nelson (Arlene), Derrick Nelson, Michael Tinsley and Reginal Tinsley (Karen); five sisters; Sheila Hewlett, Faith Rojas (Thurston), Tracey Anderson (Mark), Rosalyn Blowe (Thomas) and Renae Herbert (Roland); aunts, Mary T. Early and Rosalind Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews; and devoted friends, William "Billy" Smith, Carol Cosby, Doug Artis and George Booker. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2015. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
