Ralfe Melvin Finn, Sr., was born to the late Samuel Milton Finn & Gladys Temple Finn on September 8, 1943 in Chesterfield County. The God fearing man of faith transitioned to be with his Lord and Savior on December 9, 2020. He was preceded in death by brothers: Samuel M. Finn (Marian) & Everett E. Finn, Sr. and sisters: Novella Jones & Lavania Finn.\n\n\n\nRalfe was an active member of Fifth Baptist Church under Dr. Earl M. Brown, where he has served as a dedicated member since July 5, 2009. He served with great pride as a devoted member of the Fifth Baptist Male Chorus.\n\n\n\nRalfe graduated from the George Washington Carver High School class of 1961. Later in life he attended John Tyler College where he completed certification in Culinary Arts. His employment history included: The Medical College of Virginia, E. R. Carpenters, Co. Swift Motor Company. His businesses included: Owner and operator of "Catering Offered by Ralfe Finn'' and Wholesale Cars, Incorporated on Broad Rock Road in Richmond, VA.\n\n\n\nRalfe (with Shirley Finn Stewart) established an impressive family tree that remains to cherish fond memories including his devoted daughter, Samantha J. Finn-Dorsey, cherished sons, Ralfe M. Finn, Jr., Peter E. Finn, Sr. (Charice), Paul V. Finn, Sr. and Matthews S. Finn. He is also survived by sister: Rosa Lee Jones (William) and brothers John S. Finn, Sr. (Joann) and Sherman Finn (Dorothy) and Sister In Law Olivia Finn. His extended family included a beloved Goddaughter Rhonda Brown-Green.\n\n\n\nRalfe had a special place in his heart for each of his seventeen grandchildren which he affectionately nick-named. They added 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild in 2020.\n\n\n\nServices for Ralfe M. Finn Sr. will take place Friday, December 18, 11:00am at Fifth Baptist Church 1415 W. Cary Street, Richmond VA 23220. Due to government restrictions and guidelines. The family will allow as many to attend services as the facility can properly allow with social distancing, with priority to family.
