departed this life December 30, 2016\n\nA time to be born...\n\nReginald Lamont Brown "Reggie" was born December 13, 1955 to Carolyn Brown and Lawrence Ellett, in Henrico Virginia. He resided in Varina, Virginia until he enlisted in the military. Reggie was preceded in death by his mother, his loving dedicated grandmother Nora Mae Brown, Evelyn Lester and his loving nephew Eric Ellett.\n\nA time to learn and a time to labor...\n\n"Reggie" received his early years of education in Varina, Virginia. Upon graduation he attended VCU. He later enlisted in the US Air Force and received an honorable discharge after serving 4 years. After discharge from the military, Reggie started his career in banking. In later years he decided to go back to school and pursue his passion of becoming a long distance truck driver, which he did until his health failed.\n\nA time to love...\n\nAfter military service, "Reggie" met and married Phyllis Boone and they were blessed with one daughter, Vermecia , and they resided in Washington DC. Reggie later moved back to Varina to help take care of his father. "Reggie" was a kindhearted person and didn't like conflict.\n\n\n\nReggie's journey began early in his life at St. James Baptist Church in Varina, Virginia, where he attended Sunday school, vacation bible school, and church regularly.\n\nA time to cherish memories...\n\nReggie leaves to cherish his memories his father, Lawrence Ellett; one sister Cheryl Ellett Clay (Reggie); aunts, Shirley Hobson, Helyn Harris; one uncle, William A. Brown(CA); one niece, Angel Puller James(Devaron);one nephew, Joel Clay; a devoted friend, Randy Bentley; a devoted cousin, Warren Ellis and a host of cousins and friends.\n\n\nFamily will receive friends Monday, January 2, 2017 from 6:00 -7:30PM. \nFuneral service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Mimms Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm ~Interment Private.
