Robert Leon Dean, Jr.

Mr. Robert Leon Dean, Jr., of Dayton, Ohio, departed this life August 1, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gladys M. Dean; daughter, Gloria Anderson; son, Stanley Dean; grandson, Chris Anderson (Melinda); granddaughters, Shayla Dean and Sierra Dean; 6 great-grandchildren and a host of devoted relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Missouri Brown; and his grandson, Ronald Anderson. He was a World War II veteran, a devoted family man, and enjoyed jazz music.

Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where the family will receive friends and family on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Homegoing services will be held 12Noon Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Main Chapel of the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia, Va.
