Robert Edward Tate, Sr. Obituary (1937 - 2015)

Mr. Robert Edward Tate, Sr., of Chester, departed this life March 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Tate; along with his parents, Robert E. Tate Sr. and Viola Webster Tate; along with 12 sisters. He is survived by his three sons, Dewitt R. Johnson (Janice), Craig Steven Clarke (Wanda) and Gregory Hunter Clarke Sr.; a devoted granddaughter, Salathia C. Johnson; along with a devoted daughter-in-law, Grace Alease Haskins-Johnson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where family will receive friends on Sunday, March 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. and where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015. Bishop Mack Vincent Sr. officiating. Interment Moore Family Cemetery, Chester, Va.
