Roosevelt "Roe" Hooker Howard transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021. He was the son of Laverne Forsythe and the late Welford "Bud" Hooker. Roosevelt was reared in Hanover County where he attended public school.\n\nIt was at an early age that Roosevelt confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized and became a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Ashland, VA.\n\nRoe was a true entrepreneur. He was a gifted mechanic and repair expert. It was amazing to see him work his magic on cars, in addition to other repair jobs. He expanded his entrepreneurship into the trucking industry and took great pride in growing his company, Wistar Trucking, LLC, for 16 years until his health began to fail.\n\nRoe was preceded in death by his father and his daughter Missy Hooker. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Rev. Brenda Hooker; children Latesha (Nicholas) Adkins, Tamara Howard, Roosevelt Hooker Jr, TaCia Howard, LaTonia and Jason Kelley. He had 11 grandchildren: Branden and Britney Adkins, TaRon and TaRel Fleming, Amiyah Pritchett, Amiyre and Robert McFadden, Lawrence Thomas IV, Logan Thomas, Amina Cosby and Niko Hooker; Mother, Laverne Forsythe; Sister, Phylesha Dabney; Brother, Timothy Forsythe; four brothers in law and three sisters in law and a host of relatives and friends.\n\nWe will miss you and will always remember just how special you were to each of us in our own personal way.
