Rosa Lee Branch, 94, departed this life Saturday, December 6, 2014. Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, a brother; and her husband of 49 years, Kermit L. Branch. She worked for Virginia Mutual Insurance Company and the former State Planters Bank-Trust Department and retired from Bellwood (DGSC) in 1983. She was a Girl Scout leader for over 50 years and she also volunteered for many groups and organizations, including the American Red Cross, Baptist Sunday School Union, Senior Connections - The Capital Area Agency on Aging, Baptist Deacons Conference & Women's Auxiliary, Church Women United and the Chesterfield Association for Family & Community Education. She was also the Church Mother for Second Baptist Church - South Richmond. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Marilyn Branch-Mitchell (Gregory) of Chesterfield, Va., Kathy Branch-Jones (Hector) of Fredericksburg, Va. and Charles C. Coles of Forestville, Md.; three grandchildren, Travis and Sarah Mitchell and Christopher Jones; and one goddaughter, Dana P. Thompson of Lombard, Illinois; and a host of other family and friends.

Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where the family will receive friends Friday (today), 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 1 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 3300 Broad Rock Rd. Rev. Ralph Hodge, pastor officiating. Interment in Maury Cemetery.
