Ruth J. Clarke Obituary (1928 - 2017)

CLARKE, Ruth Josephine, 89, of Chesterfield was called home on Thursday, November 9th, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Julian Clarke, her two sons Clinton and Julian Clarke, and her two brothers Richard Goode and James Campbell. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory of her eight children: Juanita Townes, John Clarke, Yvonne Clarke, Pastor Francine Gary, Ann Ingram, Pastor Sandra Draper, Giselle Askew and Angela Toombs, 30 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren and 36 great-great grandchildren and a host of other family friends and children she called her own including Barbara Howard. Among those her devoted life long friends Virginia Watkins, Juanita Harrison and Cousin Dorothy Whitehead. Her devoted caregivers Giselle Askew and Coetina Law. The funeral will be held at Mimms Funeral Service 1827 Hull Street Richmond, VA at 12:00 pm on Wednesday November 15, 2017. Interment will be at Guildfield Baptist Church, 2550 Manakintown Ferry Rd. Midlothian, VA.
