Ryland Anthony Moses

Ryland Anthony Moses, 61, peacefully passed away and entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and dedication. He was born on April 29, 1964, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Ryland (Pete) Moses and Joan Lucille Moses. Ryland was educated in the Richmond Public School System. He was recruited to play sports at Benedictine Academy during his freshman year and later graduated from Marshall-Walker High School in 1985.

Over the years, Ryland built a strong professional career. He held positions at Xerox, Mays, and Valentine, Wal-Mart, and ultimately spent over 15 years working at Philip Morris. He became known for his work ethic and reliability. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ryland had a lifelong passion for electronics. He worked with 3D Sound for nearly two decades, lending his skills at conventions and local events throughout the area. His ability to mix and connect sound equipment led him to serve as a sound engineer for several churches, including New Jerusalem ICM and Total Grace in Atlanta, Georgia. Ryland's contributions in these spaces were valued not only for their technical quality but for the spirit and heart he brought to every event.

Ryland is survived and lovingly remembered by his three children: Michael Gregory Moses-Middleton; and Ryland Aaron Moses (Ibhade), and Kayla Renee' Moses, both by his former spouse, Alison Alston (Baugh); as well as his cherished grandson, Jayden Middleton.

He also leaves to honor his memory his devoted mother, Joan Lucille Moses; four siblings: Reginald Moses (Lachelle), Roderick Moses (Nyetta), Darshall Williams (Winston), and Melody Jones (Jalil); nine nieces and nephews; his godmother Barbara Gray; five godchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Ryland's life was marked by a quiet strength, a deep love for his family, and a willingness to serve others with his time and talent. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
