Shakeya S. Bethea Obituary (1991 - 2022)

Shakeya Shirletha Bethea found peace on the morning of Wednesday, October 18, 2022. Shakeya was born April 7, 1991 in Richmond, VA to Cynthia Iola Bethea and Sean Kenley Lewis, who both predeceased her. In addition to her parents, Keya was also preceded in death by her son, Korron Shaun Bethea; maternal and paternal grandmothers: Shirletha Bethea and Glenda Dobson; and her nephew: J'Cyn Bethea. Shakeya is survived by her son, Jeryon S. Bethea; her brothers: Keyonte' Paul Coleman, Danville, VA, and Jerry Rondell Bethea, Richmond, VA. Her stepmother: Karen E. Coleman, Danville, VA. Her godparents: Oraneatta and Tyrone Kee and Uganda Coleman, Richmond, VA. Foster mother: Shirlene Holmes, Richmond, VA. Three uncles: Cardell Bethea; Stanley Bethea and James Lewis. Nephews and niece: Jerry Bethea, Jr; Ja'Mari Bethea and Ari'yahh Iola Betha. God-Aunt: Corneatta Holmes. God-sisters: Kiarra & Charnae Holmes. Godchildren: Zamiyah Terry; Tyshawne Alexander; Kemonnie Terry and Daniya Terry. Childhood best friends: Precious Fife and Leanda Coleman. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11 AM at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
