Terrilyn A. Taylor

Terrilyn Annette Taylor, affectionately known as Terri, accepted the Lord’s invitation to dwell in his house on July 21, 2025. Surely, she will unite with her father and mother, James Taylor Sr. and Doris R. Taylor.

Terri was born and raised in the city of Richmond. She is a graduate of Maggie L. Walker High School. Even though she did well in school, was an upstanding citizen, and lived a productive lifestyle, adventure posed no problem for her thus allowing her to live her life to the fullest. Due to her always having a warm and inviting smile, she was welcomed into the hearts of many. This didn’t stop after high school. This continued on until July 21, 2025.

Terri was the highlight of her family and friends, and she cherished each of them as well. She has risen up so that she may now watch over the loved ones she has temporarily left on earth.

To cherish her memory, she leaves one daughter: Ebony Taylor (Saif), three grandchildren: KaMyah Taylor, Johadah Taylor and Sameir Alzabidi. One sister Patricia Coles, two brothers, James Taylor Jr. (Juanita), and Gary Taylor (Sharon) two aunts, Wilma Roberts and Ellen Cannon. Nieces; Jamita Taylor, Charita Rogers, Jaunika Taylor, Jaleesa Taylor, and Montika Spearman. And two nephews; James Taylor III and Norvell Brown. Several cousins, great nieces and nephews and friends.

There are those that came, called, checked in often, and tried to make things bearable for Terri and her family especially during the latter stages of Terri’s illness. They are devoted friends.

Among the devoted are, Maxine Whitehead, Arbodella Cornelius, Temelia Redd, Diane Lewis, Cornelius Washington, Vanessa Walker, and Jeanita Harris

These family members and friends repeatedly added quality to the time that Terri spent during sickness and in health, so more than likely she had everyone tucked in her heart.
