Tieone D. Thomas Obituary (1975 - 2022)

Our beloved Tieone Demetris Thomas, was born in Richmond, Virginia, on October 16, 1975, to Roxanne Thomas and Willie Hurt Jr. On Saturday, May 28, 2022, Tieone answered GOD's call and transcended through the pearly gates to lay down his burden. He was proceeded in death by his great-grandmother, Gwendolyn "Auntie" Mosley; grandparents, Eunice and Earl Thomas Sr.; brother, William Hurt; nephew, Terrell Thomas and cousin, Ronald Thomas. As a child Tieone had a love for football so much so that after suffering an injury that retired his NFL career before it started, he was left with a scar that resembled a football - shape, texture, and all. He grew to love his family and daughters dearly. Tieone leaves behind two daughters, Tieondra Thomas and Sharvon Morton; five grandchildren; two brothers Daniel Thomas and Eric Smith; two sisters, Danyell Thomas and Cieara Hurt; grandmother, Gwendolyn Hurt; one niece, R'Daysia Thomas; three nephews, Shawn Thomas, Tredell Thomas and Zakei Thomas; five great-nieces and nephews; five aunts, Dorothy Murphey, Theresa Harris, Jackie Jones, Maxine Hurt and Kim Hurt; four uncles, Merrill Hurt, Earl Thomas Jr., Loyd Hurt and Marty Hurt; two devoted cousins, LaKitha Eric Bass and a host of family and friends to cherish his memory. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11 AM at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St.
