Timothy (Tim) Vincent "Skate" Brown, departed this life on November 3, 2021 at the age of 62. He was born July 16, 1959 in Laurinburg, NC to the late Mrs. Lessie (Brown) Johnson and Willie (Jack) Brown, Jr. He was educated in the Richmond Public Schools. Timothy grew up in Richmond, VA. Timothy confessed to Christ and was baptized at Fifth Baptist Church, shortly thereafter in 1992, joined All Saints Apostolic Church under the leadership of Dr. Lona Rogers-Miller.\n\n\n\nTim was a loving, cheerful, family-oriented person who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, DIY projects, watching Kung-Fu movies, sports, listening to music and calling his friends/family members "to touch base with you." Tim was always proud to show off his daughters and discuss their accomplishments to those who will listen. Tim was also well known in his community by neighbors of all ages, affectionately referred to as "Uncle Tim" by the youth.\n\n\n\nHe leaves to cherish his memories of his daughters, Shabrial (Eric) Henderson, Sharron Lewis, and grandsons: Demond Lewis, Jockee Lewis, Kevin Snead; sisters, Katie Harris Hazel (Donald) Dowden, Lucretia Brown and Donnita (Tony) Wilkins; brothers, Ozell Brown, Walter (Robin) Brown, Walter Summersville; nieces, Stephanie Leonard, Lynnell Sanders, Neyvone Harris, Ms. Bethany Tillett, Ranesia Barksdale, Rashawnda Barksdale, Robin (George) Johnson,Temika Brown, Shavon Brown, Tracy Brown, Patricia Brown, Azure Minor, Marilyn Eleni Minor, Artina Taylor, Ashley Wilkins. Shantanique Cooper; nephews, Mark Stevenson, Morris Harris, Otis Harris, Willie X, Neil Brown, DeWarren Stevenson, Abraham Brown, Joshua Brown, Montell Minor, Tony Wilkins, Lamont Hicks, Mushaune X, and Carol Brown (former wife and devoted friend), four great-daughters, Neveah Woodroffe, Jah'Nique Lewis, Keejah Lewis, Jakia Lewis, and host of cousins and friends.\n\nA celebration of life will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 Mimms Chapel at 11:00AM. Interment Maury Cemetery.
