Tom L. German, III, (64) entered fully into the presence of our Lord and Savior Wed., March 1, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Deacon Tom L., Jr. and Thelma L. German. \n\nHe spent his life yielding his gift of song to uplift others and serve the Lord. He was educated in Richmond Public Schools, graduating from George Wythe H.S. ('70). He furthered his education at Howard University, earning a B.A. degree with a double major in Afro-American Studies and Math, minor in Secondary Education. He retired from NRECA in 2009 but went on to finish his MBA at age 61. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Taylor, and stepson, Eric, who he shared with his former wife, Carolyn; sister, Patricia (Miles) and brother, Frederick (Jacqueline) and sister/cousin, Miriam (James) Lyles; 3 aunts; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends. \n\nRemains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St. His homegoing service will be celebrated Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 1PM at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 4247 Creighton Rd.
