Vera Mae Davis

Vera Mae Davis, of Richmond, departed this life October 7, 2016. She was preceded in death by her son, James A. Davis Jr.; mother, Aarree Wolfe; and father, Harry Huggins; and two sisters, Sarah Wolfe and Claie Ola Wells. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Erika Davis; son, Christopher F. Davis (Avelina); grandchildren, Necheye L. Taylor (Wayne), Chelsea R. Davis, Cecelia A. Davis, Shanda Parker, Antoine Parker (Constance), Jayson Davis, LaTasha Davis and Amber Davis; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Luella Wilson; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Powell and Nora Lee Davis; brother-in-law, Genie Powell; and a host of nieces, among them a devoted Belinda Watson, nephews, other relatives and friends, among them, a devoted Faith Watson.

Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull St., where funeral services will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Interment private.
